Ashley Vita

6th grade Homeroom Teacher

Ashley Vita is the daughter of an Air Force Major and as a result spent much of her childhood living in many different states as well as overseas. Living in Germany for several years allowed Ms. Vita and her family to make the most of their European weekends visiting many of the surrounding countries.

Ms. Vita attended Catholic school in the Diocese of Las Vegas graduating from Bishop Gorman High School. Always having an appreciation for mathematics, she continued her education at the University of San Francisco where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Arts degree in Education.

Upon graduation, Ms. Vita began her teaching career as the 6th grade teacher at Belle Haven Elementary in Menlo Park before moving to St. Pius School for the past six years. She led the 8th Grade class for the first two years, then transitioned to the 4th-8th grade mathematics teaching position.

Ms. Vita's hobbies are playing piano, working on puzzles, following the San Francisco Giants, going on walks with her husband, and visiting with her nephew on FaceTime. Ashley is ecstatic about joining the Mount Carmel community as the 6th grade homeroom teacher with a specialization in math! The Mount Carmel community will be equally delighted to welcome Ms. Vita to our OLMC Faculty!
