Looking ahead to 2019-2020!
We have many new initiatives to be very positive about and hopeful for an excellent new school year 2019-2020!
So proud of USA Women's National Team & 2019 Women's World Cup Champions!
Thank you to Kamryn -- rising OLMC 7th grade student, soccer player & girl power advocate -- for encouraging me to invite Tierna Davidson -- 2019 USA Women's World Cup Champion with roots in neighboring Menlo Park & Sacred Heart Prep graduate -- to visit OLMC & share with our 6-7-8th grade girls about the value of teamwork, setting goals, and believing in yourself!
FACTS Premier Integration: We have completed the initial phase of transferring all our student data to FACTS-SIS (student information system), have linked FACTS-SIS to FACTS-Financial Management for fully integrated tuition payment and incidental billing, and are finalizing academic details in the password-protected portion of the ParentsWeb site. After a little more quality control assessments, we will roll out the new, star-of-the-art system. Soon you will receive a notice to create a new account/password to log in to our all new system. I am confident that parents will be very pleased!
School uniform guidelines:
WELCOME! We welcome some wonderful new educators to our Mount Carmel community!
Back-to-School Supply Lists:
New for Enrichment 6-7-8th grades!
The 6-7-8th grade schedule has been modified to include an Enrichment period. Stay tuned here for details as we firm up the plans. Currently, the plan is to add a coding/robotics unit on a rotating basis each trimester, starting with 8th in Fall, 7th in Winter, and 6th in Spring. While one class is pursuing the technology enrichment, the other two classes will have Enrichment courses taught by the 6-7-8th grade Homeroom teachers. More details to come!
New physical education for ALL students!
All students -- TK-8th -- grade will now take FLEXZONE with Lilika Teu from the LEMO Foundation. Lilika, along with her colleagues at the LEMO Foundation, has developed an all new wellbeing program to challenge students to be their best: physically, mentally, and socially.
Next year we will move to a TRIMESTER system. Please read here for more information:
